Under 6's Family Fun Day

As part of their end of season celebrations, the Under 6’s and their families came together for a fun-filled family day at the start of July. The fundraising day was held at Maes-y-Coed Community Centre and was the perfect way to top off the players first rugby season as a team.

The committee and coaches organised an afternoon full of activities including a disco, face painting, dodgeball, kick-cricket and tug-of-war. There was even an appearance from the Secret Squirrel! However, the bit the players enjoyed the most was the opportunity to throw wet sponges at the coaches!

The barbecue and tuck shop also went down very well and the committee and coaches would like to thank all the families who came along and helped make the day such a success.

Throughout the season the team had also been fundraising for Holibobs, a Rhiwbina-based charity which is dedicated to providing holidays and short breaks to children and young people diagnosed with cancer or leukaemia. The team were really pleased to be able to present a cheque for £780.50 to the Holibobs Trustees!

After such a great first season, the Under 6’s are very excited to become the Under 7’s and start playing matches, roll on the new season!
