Message From David Hobbs, Executive Member Rhiwbina RFC
Dear All
I feel it’s the correct time to send a note to you explaining where the club view our on-field position at this moment in time. We have experienced some amazing highs and one or two lows over the years. As we enter the 2021/22 season, we find ourselves in a position of change. We’ve had a couple of players leave for Premier clubs - players we wish well and every success. We’ve also had some very talented players join us, in addition to our current, loyal, talented squad. This season is very much a transitional one, without promotion or relegation. This gives our senior coaches Dai Pattison, Jon Bryant and their young, talented coaching team a wonderful opportunity to view players. This includes players coming up and through our fantastic Mini/Junior/Youth programme, with existing players trying different positions. As always, our ambition is to firstly develop players, and win every game, but with this opportunity it’s inevitable that a certain amount of experimenting will be taking place. Our emphasis this season will be on player/team development, and with this, we’re confident that results will come. This will see us emerge for next season with a larger, more experienced pool of talent, ready for us to challenge for the various honours that lay ahead of us. We remain one of the only clubs in Wales regularly putting a 1st, 2nd,3rd and Youth side out on a Saturday - a fantastic achievement we can all take pride in. It leaves me to thank every player, supporter and sponsor for their continued support, understanding and above all loyalty.
THANK YOU
