The Squirrels played 4 matches against a strong St Peters team on a glorious Sunday morning of junior rugby. Andre at his devastating best ran in a hat full of tries & Jack was a human steam-roller through their defensive lines. But it Rhiwbina didn't have it all their own way, with some clever rugby played by St Peters. Tries from Arun and Sonny put daylight between the Squirrels and St Peters in Game 1. In Game 2 Joel weaved his way through the opposition after some great rucking performances from Jake, Jacob and Isaac. Chester sniping runs off the back of scrums were amazing to see & as a team effort proved too much for St Peters. Game 3 saw an immediate line break from Lewis converted by some glorious footwork by Will taking him beyond the try line! Jack, Andre and Will left everything on the pitch, tackling, pushing and smashing their opponents into touch. St Peter were a match for Rhiwbina in the first half but tires from Euan, Evan and Will put the game out of sight. Game 4 was a gritty affair - but young Venables ploughed his way through piles of St Peters defensive efforts. Great hands from Chester, but St Peters were too strong for a gutsy Rhiwbina team. Great rugby all round. Rhiwbina win 3 games to 1.
