RHiwbina beat neighbours Llanishen 33-7 in Mallett Cup semi final

The Squirrels saw off neighbours Llanishen of Division Two by 33-7 at Rumney on Tuesday evening, and will meet Rumney in the final at Cardiff Arms Park on 11th May, after they defeated Glamorgan Wanderers 30-29 with a last gasp penalty kick.  There seems to have been some controversy whether the kick went over, but conclusive evidence from traffic cameras on the Ely Link Road and CCTV cameras in Fitzalan High School showed that the ball had crossed and the two touchjudges have been referred to Specsavers.

Rhiwbina ran in five tries with a superb brace from Rhys Morgans in the second half, the first after a great break by Olly Golden.  Rhiwbina led by just 7-0 at the break thanks to a second minute typical try by Kane T-B.  The Squirrels got on top in the second half, scoring further tries from Cameron Neal and a superb length of the field effort from Chris Richards to end the scoring in the third minute of added time.
