U12's End of Season Awards

After a challenging and exhausting morning providing the manpower for a Cardiff Blues Coaching Seminar which was really interesting as the players were required to begin to make decisions for themselves in a variety of scenarios that will stand them in good stead for the next season, it was time to close the 2018/19 season.

The celebration was to thank all the players for their contribution over the season which had proved so successful with sharing the Blues Cup and the first real forays that the team made outside District B which was rewarding in many ways. In this light the commitment of Sam Thomas who was injured early in the season yet still attended nearly every training session and game was acknowledged as an example of true clubmanship.

As always the eagerly awaited part of the celebration was the announcement of both "Players Player" and "Coaches Player" awards which concluded the event. In the case of the "Players Player" the squad voted for Joe Flynn while the "Coaches" went to Huw Cotterall which were very well deserved although both categories had a number of potential winners.

The final word of the the event went to both Gareth Evans and Richard Price for all of there unstinting work behind the scenes organising the coaches and arranging, rearranging and then rearranging fixtures amongst many other tasks.
All enjoyed the occasion and it is great credit to all concerned whether player, coach, volunteer or parent that the squad enjoyed such a successful session only losing on three occasions.

Roll on next season and "Boot Camp" recommences on July 7th, so not long to wait.
