Rhiwbina RFC appoints new Coaching Team

Rhiwbina RFC appoints new coaching team

Division One East Central Rhiwbina RFC is pleased and excited to announce the appointment of a new coaching team to take the club forward at all levels. Rhiwbina is very much a community club and prides itself in player and coach development from Under 7s to Seniors.

The coaching team that are committed to continue this ethos is Head Coach Dai Pattison and Assistant Coach Jon Bryant. Both are experienced players and coaches and would like to see both new and existing players challenge themselves to help The Squirrels achieve success.

Dai is already very much part of the community, living in Rhiwbina.  He represented Wales at Under 20 level, played professional rugby for Bristol and Newport Gwent Dragons, and is a Newport RFC legend. He has already been part of the Rhiwbina coaching set up, having overseen the development of Rhiwbina Youth Team for the last three years.

Joining Dai as his assistant is Jon Bryant. Jon has many years of rugby experience at Pontypridd, Celtic Warriors, Newport Gwent Dragons and Sale Sharks and won one Wales international cap. Jon was also player/manager of Merthyr RFC and was previously head coach at Barry RFC, who join Rhiwbina this year in Division One East Central.

Dai and Jon would be delighted to welcome new players to join our First, Second, Third and Youth Team squads. So, if you think you’re up to the challenge of representing the mighty Squirrels, then training takes place every Tuesday and Thursday at Caedelyn Park or give Team Manager Steve Neal a call on 07970 819442. #Squirrels777 #Communityrugby
