While the scoreboard at the end told one story the game of a comfortable win to someone not present that was far from the case. It was eventually the overall power and physicality of the Squirrels that brought victory against a game Cowbridge team who were decimated by illness after their tour last weekend. It was fitting that the final score of the game was Cowbridge's but the Squirrels focus and commitment could not be faulted although by their usual high standards there were more errors's than the coaching staff would have expected. Quite a step up for the boys as there were neutral match officials including touch judges, a larger then normal crowd and a ground enclosed with stands, so it will be interesting to see how they cope with the final which is scheduled to be on May 19thv Mountain Ash at the Arms Park.

All in all what a spell for the club with the U12's, 13's and 14's all qualifying for the Plate Finals at the respective age groups.
